Kim Kyung-nam got more recognition after his appearance in the drama Special Labor Inspector (2019) as Cheon Deok-gu. The drama follows the story and life of Jo Jin-gab (Kang Dong-wook), a civil servant who is appointed to be a labor inspector in the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Jo Jin-gab has several partners on the team, and one of them is Cheon Deok-gu. He is Jo Jin-gap’s former pupil, and later on, he becomes Jo Jin-gap’s loyal secret investigator.
The King: Eternal Monarch
Kim Kyung-nam also appears in the famous K-drama The King: Eternal Monarch (2020) alongside Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun. The drama is about the emperor of the Kingdom of Corea (Lee Min-ho) who attempts to cross the barrier to a parallel universe where the Republic of Korea exists.
