Shin Gwang-il made his first appearance on a television show when he auditioned for JTBC’s Super Band which was aired in 2019. When he applied for the show, his position was for vocals, but he also played the bass and drums every round and eventually took the position of drummer in LUCY after he debuted. LUCY is a band formed from JTBC’s variety show Super Band Season 1 in 2019. The band LUCY won second place on JTBC’s Super Band Season 1. After the show was over, this four-member group joined the Mystic Story label and officially debuted in 2020. Prior to being auditioned for JTBC’s Super Band, Shin Gwang-il was the leader of the trainee band group at Mystic. This man who was born on May 25, 1997, can play any musical instrument except the violin. He can do a one-man band like he did while covering One Ok Rock’s “Fight the Night.” He records himself as he sings and plays all the instruments. Then, he puts it all together into a cool performance. Their new song “Flowering” is a song that shows off LUCY with a spring theme, the beginning of the four seasons after the cold winter has passed. LUCY is a pop band with a lyrical violin melody and refreshing pop sound, and you can feel LUCY’s unique color shown on the stage of JTBC’s Super Band.
