C-REAL’s Career Journey
C-REAL originally debuted with a total of five members: Chemi (leader), ReDee, Effie, Ann J, and Lenny. They are a girl group under NAP Entertainment. Their songs have been produced by several composers who have also been in charge of SE7EN and Big Bang, including the management of YG Entertainment. When C-REAL debuted, they did a lot of publicity with the “5-member IU,” and IU actually roots for the members a lot. They debuted in October 2011 with the title track of the 1st mini album “No No No No No.” In March 2012, they released some songs titled “Joma Joma,” “Sorry I,” and “Danger Girl.” However, since then, the release of the group’s songs has been slow, and since 2014, there has been no activity. The last time the group was active, C-REAL’s Chemi appeared in Toymella’s “Mellowly” in 2013 and C-REAL’s Effie appeared in SoulstaR’s “Love Love” music video in 2014 and Gummy’s “You’ll Think of Me” teaser. Fun fact, all the members of this group are short. All members except ReDee are 161 cm, and the rest are all below 160 cm. C-REAL also released a soundtrack for the K-drama titled Flower Boy Ramen Shop that was aired in 2011 titled “Just Say It.” However, they did not emphasize this advantage much and still were not recognized by the public for their appearance and promotion.
