NiZiU’s Mako’s Facts
Mako was a trainee for 3 years. She has an older sister who was born in 1996, named Atsuko Yamaguchi. During High School, Mako was on the student council. Watching dramas, learning a language, and writing in a diary are her hobbies. When she was in elementary school, she wanted to be a K-Pop idol so she learned Korean. Since the 2nd grade of Junior High School, she has been chosen to be the class leader because she has good leadership. Yogurt is her favorite food. She also loves all spicy foods. She has a unique talent, she can eat a lemon with a flat face and no expression. Mako has appeared in several MVs of Stray Kids, among which are “Back Door” and “God’s Menu”. In NiZiU, her representative color is orange. She wants to cook for the other NiZiU members.
NiZiU’s Mako Pre Debut
Not only she is the leader, but Mako is also called the pretty leader because she has stunning visuals. Mako has a pretty smile and Japanese slanted eyes, and it makes her look perfect. Before she decided to join Nizi Project, in 2017, Mako participated in the Tokyo audition in order to become a JYP Entertainment trainee and she passed it by singing “Freesia” by Uru and dancing to JYP’s song “You’re The One”. Mako also got 3rd place in the 13th public audition.
NiZiU’s Mako’s Alleged Debut With ITZY And Joining NIZI Project
Mako is one of NiZiU members who has been a trainee of JYP for the longest time; she also joined JYP Entertainment’s subsidiary in Japan named JYPE. While being a trainee, Mako was reportedly a candidate for a member of ITZY because she has the potential. But fate had other plans for her and in 2020 Mako took part in Nizi Project and joined the audition in Tokyo. Nizi Project is a survival reality show in Japan that is a joint project between JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Japan Entertainment with the purpose to enable the debut of a girl group under JYPE.
